David D. Schein

…is the President & General Counsel of Claremont Management Group, Inc., which he co-founded in 1989. Dr. Schein is also an attorney, mediator and arbitrator. He provides consulting on business and employment matters to businesses in many industries throughout the United States. In addition, he provides counsel and training to non-profit and government organizations. His expert analysis and counsel in employment and business law matters is based on over thirty years of practical experience, including a decade with Fortune 500 companies. Dr. Schein has presented numerous seminars and lectures throughout the United States, ranging from New York and Florida to California. He is presently an Associate Professor teaching Human Resource courses for the University of Maryland University College. He has taught courses for the University of Virginia, University of Richmond, University of Mary Washington, Central Michigan University and other prestigious organizations.

Dr. Schein is the Editor of Employment Notes, published by Claremont Management Group, and archived on the Claremont Management Group website under the Newsletters link. He has four articles in the Encyclopedia of Business Ethics and Society published by Sage in 2007. His published articles include: "Independent Contractors", July 1995, "Sexual Harassment in the Fitness Industry", Spring 1995, "Family & Medical Leave Act", January 1994, and "Impact of The Civil Rights Act of 1991 on Health/Fitness Facilities", September 1992, which were published in The Exercise Standards and Malpractice Reporter; "Americans with Disability Act", Leaps Newsletter, October 1990; "Facing the Drug-Test Challenge", Sam's Buy-Line, Spring 1989; "Should Employers Restrict Smoking in the Workplace", Labor Law Journal, March 1987; and "How to Prepare a Company Policy on Substance Abuse Control", Personnel Journal, July 1986. He also has two articles in the Encyclopedia of Security Management, published by Butterworth, 1993.

He has been quoted in many publications including: Occupational Health & Safety, Convenience Store Management, Communication World, Houston Chronicle, The Houston Post, Lawrence (KS) Journal-World and American Society of Association Executives Newsletter. In 1989, Dr. Schein was named to Who's Who in American Law.

Dr. Schein is licensed to practice law in Texas and Virginia. He is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the Virginia Bar Association, Texas Bar Association, Society for Business Ethics, and the Academy of Management. Dr. Schein is also a member of many civic and social organizations. He has served as a director for various non-profit organizations, including the Houston Asian Chamber of Commerce, Health Access Texas and the Houston Wellness Council.

Moritza Day

...is a Senior Consultant and Trainer for Claremont Management Group (CMG). She has over 25 years of strategic planning and implementation experience helping companies solve human resources issues. A CPA and former Big 4 auditor, she blends financial acumen with human resources, management and marketing experience to bring solid suggestions and improvement to businesses.

She is the founder of Day, West & Associates, a human resources consulting firm in Houston, Texas that was named as one of the 100 privately held firms making the greatest impact on Houston. Her expertise includes: design of business systems, hiring, retention, outplacement, career planning and job search.

She is the co-author of 1000 Best Job Hunting Secrets and the author of Networking for Your Success. She teaches career planning and job search and business plan preparation for continuing education programs. For over 20 years, she has presented seminars and speeches on hiring and career issues.

Bringing an international background, she has worked in Greece, England, Israel and studied in Australia. She is available to spearhead change and growth both domestically and internationally.

Thomas P. Timmins

...is a Co-founder and a former President of CMG. He is now a Senior Consultant and Trainer. His years of college teaching experience in a department of business and working in both Fortune 500 and smaller entrepreneurial companies enable him to bring a unique perspective to personnel policy issues. His work with small to medium size employers and the recognition that problems with personnel matters were becoming a major distraction to company management and affecting profitability, was the impetus behind the formation of Claremont Management Group, Inc.

Mr. Timmins is a member of several professional and civic organizations, including the American Society for Training and Development, the National Association of Health Underwriters, and the Greater Houston Partnership Small Business Issues Committee. He holds the following degrees: M.B.A. - Auburn University, M.A. - Indiana University, B.A. - Hanover College, and the RHU designation from Northeastern University.

Howard Harris

...is a Senior Consultant and Trainer for CMG.  Dr. Harris currently provides strategic and crisis management consulting services in Florida and New York City for Claremont Management Group (CMG), Houston, TX. He has over 20 years of leadership experience in education, business, and government. In recent years he has worked for organizations requiring structural changes in their operations to give them a competitive advantage in the markets they serve. In 2004, the Tampa Bay Business Journal included him on their "Who's Who" list of the top 250 people in Tampa Bay business.

Prior to CMG, Dr. Harris worked for Chicago based National-Louis University (NLU) for over 10 years at two of their out-of-state campuses located in McLean, Virginia and Tampa, Florida. In 1994, he was appointed adjunct professor in the College of Management and Business at NLU's campus serving Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. During this period of time he continued to provide management consulting services to corporate, government , and International clients. In April, 2003, he was appointed Executive Director of NLU's Florida Regional Campus. He left NLU in April 2005 after designing and implementing a three year strategy to give the regional campus a competitive advantage in the Florida health care and public education Market.

Before NLU, Dr. Harris worked for several crisis management corporations, Georgetown University Graduate School, and Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. He earned his doctorate at Columbia University and also served in the US Navy. Dr. Harris lives in Tampa, FL and New York City.
